William C. Sigler was born on 12 November 1921. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II and was killed in action on 11 June 1943. His body was subsequently returned to the United States and buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
His brother, Franklin Earl Sigler, Private, United States Marine Corps, also served in World War II and was a recipient of the Medal of honor. They are buried near one another in Arlington National Cemetery.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army.
