Caroline Louise Morgan, 82, of Clearwater, Florida, who was well-known in the Marienville, Pennsylvania, area, died Thursday, July 21, 2005, in her home.
Born November 13, 1922, in Marienville, she was the daughter of Calvin and Carrie Kuhl Aul.
She was a 1941 graduate of Jenks Township High School in Marienville.
Mrs. Morgan was married for 56 years to Sergeant Major Theodore Roosevelt Morgan, a 30-year veteran of the U.S. Army, who died in 1997. She and her husband lived on many military bases in the United States and Germany.
After her husband’s retirement, the couple moved to Clearwater, Florida, where he worked several more years as a postal carrier.
Surviving are one sister, Avanelle Liston of Haines City, Florida; a brother, Kenneth L. Aul of Houston, Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by a son, Gary E. Morgan, who was killed in an auto accident in California while serving in the U.S. Navy; a daughter who died at birth; two sisters, Grace Knapp and Virginia Hepinger; and three brothers, Henry Aul, Thomas Aul and Cecil Aul.
There was no public visitation.
Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery under the direction of the U.S. Army and Curlew Hills Funeral Home of Palm Harbor, Florida.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Scholarship Fund of the East Forest Alumni Association, Marienville, Pennsylvania 16239.
NOTE: Their son, Gary Eugene Morgan, SN, United States Navy, is also buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
