Thomas McMeekin was born in 1834 at Fairfield County, South Carolina, the son of Andrew McMeekin and Clarissa Gibson McMeekin. Sergeant, Company F, 12th South Carolina Volunteer Infantry. Wounded May 8, 1864 under the famous 22 inch oak tree at Spotsylvania Courthouse, Virginia, and died of wounds May 20, 1864.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army.
