The son of Dwight Dickinson, he was born in 1883 and served in the Supply Corps of the United States Navy.
He died in 1952 and is buried with other family members in Section 7 of Arlington National Cemetery.
His son, Dwight Dickinson III, (Lieutenant Commander, US Navy Reserce(Supply Corps) 1916-1996 (Ambassador to Togo in the ’70s) is buried in this same gravesite.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army. So it was no wonder that sooner or later his interests drew him to American history and especially to American military history. Many of his articles can be found on renowned portals like the New York Times, Washingtonpost or Wikipedia.
