Richard Stewart Hooker was a career United States Marine officer who served in World War I and then in China. He died in Shanghai, China, while in command of the 4th Marines. He entered the service as a Second Lieutenant, 17 February 1900.

Henry S. Hooker was a law partner and close friend of FDR and Eleanor Roosevelt.
