Military Funeral at Arlington Held for Lieutenant Black
WASHINGTON, November 22, 1938 – A military funeral was held at Arlington National Cemetery today for Second Lieutenant Robert Kirkland Black, one of those killed in the crash of an Army plane near La Grange, Georgia, last Friday. Services were conducted by Chaplain Ora J. Cohee.
First Lieutenant James W. Stewart, son of Mrs. A. L. Stewart of East Orange, New Jersey, is to be buried at Arlington tomorrow.
The Army Air Corps announced that First Lieutenant Robert Ross McKechnie will be buried at Madison, Ohio; Second Lieutenant Allen M. Howery at Morristown, Tennessee; Private Joseph Manartowich at Highland Falls, New York; and Corporal J. C. Galloway at Sulphur Springs, Texas.
