COLONEL ROSS B. BRETZ

ASHEVILLE, North Carolina, August 6, 1943 – Colonel Ross Bradley Bretz, commanding officer of Camp Butner, North Carolina, Army Hospital, died at Moore General Hospital here yesterday, hospital authorities announced tonight.
Colonel Bretz, son of the late judge and Congressman John L. Bretz of Jasper, Indiana, had been a patient at the hospital for more than three weeks. He had served in the Army Medical Corps since 1917.
Survivors include a widow, the former Elise Dillon of Greensboro and Statesville, North Carolina, and a brother, Dr. W. D. Bretz, Huntington, Indiana.
Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
