RITES FOR DR. NORMAN HIMES
WASHINGTON, September 18, 1949 – A funeral service for Dr. Norman E. Himes, sociologist and author of books on marriage and birth control, will be held Wednesday at the Fort Myer Chapel of Arlington National Cemetery.
Dr. Himes died June 6 in Venice, Italy, while on leave from his duties with the Information Service Division of the Military Government at Bremen, Germany, he was 49 years old.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army.
