William V. Walsh Construction Company, Rockville, Maryland, was awarded on June 28, 2004, a $5,613,000 firm-fixed-price contract for design, construction and renovation of the Memorial Reception Building.
Work will be performed at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by January 6, 2006.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
There were 245 bids solicited on January 29, 2004, and three bids were received.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
