JAMES V. MADISON
Naval Hero Was Member of Byrd North Pole Expedition
DANVERS, Massachusetts, September 13, 1943 – James V. Madison, World War naval hero and a member of the Byrd North Pole expedition of 1926, died yesterday at Chelsea Naval Hospital, after a long illness, and will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery. His age was 59.
He leaves two brothers, John D., a member of the Danvers Fire Department, and Franklin T., of Boston

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army.
