Born in 1890, he served as Under Secretary of Agriculture of the United States and Under Secretary of the United Nations for Administration and Financial Services.
He died in Brussels, Belgium, May 5, 1964 and was buried in Section 15 of Arlington National Cemetery.
Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army.
