Of Vienna, Virginia, on Monday, May 19, 1997, at the age of 50, at his home. Beloved fiance of Kristina A. Davis; devoted father of Angela Raymond; son of Imogene Reeves; brother of Joanne Banis. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
He served 11 years in the United States Army including three years in Vietnam where he was battlefield commissioned. He was numerously decorated including the Silver Star.
He was an active member of Henry Lodge #57.
Service with military honors will be held at Fort Myer ”Old Post” Chapel on Tuesday, May 27, 1997 at 11 a.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery.
Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army. So it was no wonder that sooner or later his interests drew him to American history and especially to American military history.
