Retired Army Master Sergeant Jerry G. Kidwell, 67, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, died Saturday in his home.
Sergeant Kidwell was a Special Forces veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War. He received the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts and was a Golden Knight.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel by Chaplain Roy Hill. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.
Sergeant Kidwell is survived by his wife, Nannette Kidwell of the home; and four brothers, Ronald Kidwell of Charlotte, Donald Kidwell of Atlanta, Ralph Kidwell of Falmouth, Massachuisetts, and Phillip Farmer of Harrison, Tennessee.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. the funeral home.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army. So it was no wonder that sooner or later his interests drew him to American history and especially to American military history.
