TUGGLE, HOLCOMBE T. (Age 79)
On Sunday, February 8, 2004, HOLCOMBE T. TUGGLE of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. He was born in Seattle, Washington, and was a longtime resident of Vienna, Virginia, before moving to West Virginia.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II and had a long and distinguished career with the Office of Security in the Central Intelligence Agency. He was an active member of the Blacksmiths’ Guild of the Potomac.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Irene V. Tuggle; beloved father of four children, Nora, Bonnie, Lauren and Tim; two grandchildren, Seph and Emily; and his brother, James of Seattle, Washington. He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley.
Interment will be in the Arlington National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in his name to the Old Charles Town Library, 200 East Washington St., Charles Town, West Virginia 25414.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army. So it was no wonder that sooner or later his interests drew him to American history and especially to American military history.
