MARINE OFFICER A SUICIDE
First Lieutenant H. B. Alban Kills Himself at Corinto, Nicaragua
MANAGUA, Micaragua – October 12, 1930 Harvey Byars Alban, Captain in the Nicaraguan National Guard and First Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps, commanding officer of the National Guard located at Corinto, committed suicide yesterday afternoon on the beach near his home by shooting himself in the head with his revolver.
He leaves a wife and a 6-year-old daughter, who were with him in Corinto. The cause of his action is thought to have been financial difficulties. He was born in Missouri and was 34 years old.
