GEORGE W. LA MOUNTAIN
MONTREAL, Canada, April 23, 1948 – George W. LaMountain, Superintendent of Properties in the Saguenay District for the Aluminum Company of Canada, Ltd., died here last night at the age of 58.
Born in New York State, Mr. LaMountain received his education at Phillips Academy, Andover, Massachusetts, and the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis. He served with the United States Navy in World War I and retired in 1926.
Burial will take place in the Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army. So it was no wonder that sooner or later his interests drew him to American history and especially to American military history.
