George Francis Patten – Major, United States Army

Major George Francis Patten was born in Illinois on 27 November 1882 and died on 30 May 1962.  He served in World War I. He is buried near other family members in Section 3 of Arlington National Cemetery.  His wife, Helen Clark Patten, 1 September 1882-12 February 1932, is buried with him.

Michael Robert Patterson

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army. So it was no wonder that sooner or later his interests drew him to American history and especially to American military history.
