Frank S. Barrows was born 25 February 1843. During the Civil War, he served as Second Lieutenant, Company C, 30th Regiment of United States Colored Troops (USCT). Lieutenant Barrows died on 19 October 1917 and was buried with full military honors in Section 4 of Arlington National Cemetery. His wife, Mary J. Barrows (15 April 1862-15 July 1939) is buried with him.
We are actively seeking additional information concerning Lieutenant and Mrs. Barrows.
19 May 2010: Our Administrative History indicates that Frank Barrows, who served with the 30th USCT, served as Superintendent of Antietam National Cemetery from March 23, 1897-May 16, 1904.
