COMMANDER F. J. LOEGERE
Veteran of 45 Years in Navy Dies 3 Days After Retiring
PALM BEACH, Florida, November 4, 1945 – Commander Frederick John Legere died in the Naval Concalescent Hospital today, three days after retirement had ended his forty-five years of service. His age was 60.
He came here in July from Norfolk, Virginia. Born in Massachusetts, Commander Legere saw action in the Philippine Insurrection and both World Wars.
He will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army.
