Coast Artillery Corps. He was the son of James A. Buchanan IV, he died on October 27, 1945 and is buried in the same site in Section 3 of Arlington National Cemetery, and near James Anderson Buchanan.
His family is related to President James Buchanan.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army.
