Sergeant Glenney, 68, died August 2, 1996 at the Soldiers Home in Washington, D.C.
Sergeant Glenney, a veteran of World War II, served 20 years in the Army. He served as a counter-intelligence agent during the Vietnam War.
His awards and decorations include the Purple Heart, Parachutist Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Occupation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Japan Occupation Medal.
SFC Glenney is survived by his step-son, Keith ; two step-daughters, Lauren and Genell .
Burial was held August 5, 1996 at the Arlington National Cemetery.
Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army. So it was no wonder that sooner or later his interests drew him to American history and especially to American military history.
