I would like to donate a poem for use to Arlington Cemetery.
I wrote the poem in 1993 and dedicated to the brave men who died in Somolia.
As you can see, it can be used for any time, and any war.
Don’t weep for me
O’ Land of the free
When it was my time to fall
‘Twas for my country’s call
‘Twas for the land that I loved,
That I gave my all
And for the land that I loved,
I did freely give
And in her freedom
And her courage
I’ll continue to live

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army. So it was no wonder that sooner or later his interests drew him to American history and especially to American military history. Many of his articles can be found on renowned portals like the New York Times, Washingtonpost or Wikipedia.
