Born on October 14, 1887 and died on Februrary 24, 1964.
He is buried in Section 2 of Arlington National Cemetery with his wife, Blanche Rougier McCullough (September 19, 1897-September 7, 1987) and his son, Second Lieutenant Richard Rougier McCullough (September 26, 1927-July 18, 1952), who was killed in action in the Korea War and who was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Cross and the Purple Heart Medal.
Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army. So it was no wonder that sooner or later his interests drew him to American history and especially to American military history.
