ARLINGTON SERVICE FOR LIEUTENANT KEEBLE
WASHINGTON, March 19, 1969 – A funeral service for First Lieutenant Edwin Augustus Keeble, Jr, of the Marine Corps will be held tomorrow at 3 P.M. in the Fort Myer Chapel in Arlington National Cemetery.
Lieutenant Keeble, who was 24 years old, was attached to Marine Observation Squadron 6, Provisional Marine Aircraft Group 39 of the First Marine Aircraft Wing. He was killed in action February 28 southwest of Dongha in Vietnam.
He was piloting a gunship helicopter as escort for the emergency medical evacuation of United States Marines seriously wounded in operations in Dewey Canyon.
Lieutenant Keeble, who was born in Washington, attended public school in Bronxville, New York. He was graduated from Deerfield Academy and, in 1966, from Princeton University.
He is survived by his widow, the former Alice Collins, of Easton, Maryland; his mother, Mrs. George Mott of Bronxville, New York, his father, Edwin A. Keeble of Nashville, Tennessee and a sister, Mrs. Chandler Hovey 3rd of New York.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army.
