Served with Military Assistance Advisory Group Sergeant Lawson, 68, died October 17, 1996 in Germany.
A Vietnam veteran, he also served with the Military Assistance Advisory group in Korea and Pakistan. His last assignment was with Army Community Services, Nuremberg, Germany. He retired in 1974.
His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Combat Ribbon and Overseas Ribbon.
He is survived by wife, Jeannie.
Burial was held November 15, 1996, at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia, with full military honors.
Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army.
