RITES OF PARKS AT ARLINGTON
WASHINGTON, September 10, 1943 – A funeral service will be held tomorrow in Arlington National Cemetery for First Lieutenant Donald F. Parks, 40, a native of Orange, New Jersey, who was killed in an airplane wreck in Missouri.
Lieutenant Parks, a resident of Austin, Texas, organized a parachute division and trained personnel from Chile while serving there from 1939 to 1941 with the United States Military Mission. Later he was assigned to troop carrier commands, first at Austin then at Sedalia, Missouri.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army.
