Charles Eugene Green, 73, of Bluegrass Trail, Grovetown, Georgia, died Sunday, January 23, 2000.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, Martinez, with the Rev. Alvin Jones officiating. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.
Green, a native of Cameron, Texas, had retired as a Colonel in the Army and was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam War. He was a member of Georgia-lina Field Trial Association, Georgia Field Trial Association and Retired Officers Association.
Survivors include his wife, Bettie Jarrell Green; two sons, Randall Nelson Green, Arlington, and Charles Phillip Green, Martinez; a sister, Dallie Moriority, St. Petersburg, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be members of the military.
Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army. So it was no wonder that sooner or later his interests drew him to American history and especially to American military history.
