Washington, February 24, 1934 – Clinton Bacon Amorous, 44 years old, widely known in automobile circles, died at his home here today after a month’s illness. He was vice president of a local Pierce-Arrow sales company.
Mr. Armorous was born in Columbus, Georgia, and was educated at Georgia Tech. He served as an Army flier in the World War. A military funeral will be held Monday and buriel will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
His widon and one daughter survive.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army. So it was no wonder that sooner or later his interests drew him to American history and especially to American military history.
