Lee Crandall – Colonel, Confederate States of America Army

Lee Crandall was born 11 May 1832 at South New Berlin, Chenango County, New York.  He married Mary Harriet Giers, 3 August 1868 in Alabama.  At the time of the 1880 United States Census he was residing in Washington, D.C.  Residing with him were his wife Harriet (Hattie)Crandall, age 27 and born in Alabama; their daughter, Fannie Crandall, age 19 and born in Louisiana; their son, Theodore Crandall, age 9 and born in Alabama; their son, Lee Crandall, age 3 and born in Pennsylvania; Mary Smith, female servant, age 42 and born in Ireland; and Maggie Smith, female nurse, age 19 and born in Pennsylvania.
