GENERAL A. L. MARSHALL BURIED
WASHINGTON, October 24, 1956 – Major General Arthur L. Marshall was buried today in Arlington National Cemetery. The 56-year-old officer died last Saturday of a heart ailment in Great Lakes Naval Hospital, Chicago.
Cannon Miller of the Washington Protestant Episcopal Cathedral, former Army Chief of Chaplains conducted services in the Fort Myer chapel and at the grave.
General Marshall was Commander General of the Army’s Quartermaster Market Center System, with headquarters in Chicago.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army.
