The person you have as A/T. REA in your index is actually A. T. Ray of Company K of the 19th Virginia Infantry.
My source is the regimental history of the 19th Virginia Infantry. His service record is consistent with a person of that name being captured and brought to D.C. during the Civil War.
The Confederate soldier listed as “A.T. Rea” (Ray) is is my g-g grand uncle Absalom Thomas Ray; Died May 22nd in a Washington D.C. hospital at 4pm from wounds sustained in battle. He was 24 years of age. Private in K Company, 19th Virginia Infantry.
