WASHINGTON, April 3, 1959 – The honored dead in Arlington National Cemetery reached 100,000 today. Burial of Army Corporal Bernie Malion raised the total interments to that figire.
Corporal Malion, who died earlier this week at the Veterans Hospital, Pittaburgh, Pennsylvania, had served with a Quartermaster unit at Fort Lewis, Washngton.
Arlington Cemetery, embracing a group of wooded hills across the Potomac River from Washington, was established in Civil War times.
