JOHN FISHER TOBE BURIED AT ARLINGTON
WASHINGTON, October 14, 1958 – Funeral services for John Merritt Fisher, a member of the Chicago Tribune Washington Bureau who died Monday night, will be held Thursday afternoon in Washington.
Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, burial ground for military veterans. Fisher served in the Army in World War II.
Fisher, 46, died as a result of brain injuries suffered in a fall last Tuesday on the rear stairs of his apartment house. He had been with the Tribune’s Washington Bureau for 20 years and with the newspaper since 1934, when he was graduated from Northwestern University.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army.
