Captain Kennedy was a veteran of World War II. In Korea he was a member of the 14th Port Battalion, U.S. Army. He died of other causes on December 19, 1950 at Inchon, South Korea.
Captain Kennedy was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean War Service Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.

I have asked my father and my oldest uncle and far as I know, my uncle Bud and his company were wiring a bridge for demolition was told that a mistake was made and they loaded too heavy of a charge when the explosives were detonated. We don’t know if it was the blast or the pieces of shrapnel that took him down. Thanks again for your help, Martha Kennedy Beesley

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army.
