Robert L.G. Lizama, 72, who served on active Navy duty for 30 years before retiring in 1974 as a chief petty officer, died March 29, 2000 at Bethesda Naval Hospital after surgery for a heart ailment. He lived in Oxon Hill.
Mr. Lizama, who was born on Guam, finished his Navy career as a White House cook during the Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon administrations. From the mid-1970s to mid-1980s, he worked for the Federal Reserve Board, where he performed administrative and clerical chores in the mail room.
He was a member of the D.C. Guam Society. His hobbies included fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Brigida Guzman Lizama of Oxon Hill; six sons, George, of Falls Church, Robert, of San Diego, Stan, of Fairfax, Jeff, of Springfield, Wayne, of Herndon, and Eric, of Oakton; and five grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, April 4, at 8 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Oxon Hill, MD. Interment Arlington National Cemetery.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army.
