ROGER M. CALLOWAY
WASHINGTON, December 6, 1943 – Roger M. Calloway, Assistant Reading Clerk of the House of Representatives, formerly of Sheridan, Wyoming, died here Saturday after a long illness at the age of 47.
Mr. Calloway was in the banking business in Wyoming until 1929, when he came East to enter Government service. At one time he was Assistant Secretary of the Reconstruction Finance Corporation. He became a House Reading Clerk in 1937.
A funeral service will be held here tomorrow. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army. So it was no wonder that sooner or later his interests drew him to American history and especially to American military history.
