YANKEE AIRMAN SUICIDE ON ARMY FIELD IN HAWAII
HONOLULU, Hawaii, January 31, 1923 – Luke Field, the scene of several recent fatal airplane accidents, furnished an inexplicable suicide when First Lieutenant Carl H. Myers, an Air Service pilot, shot and killed himself, apparently with no other motive than moroseness. It is believed he may have been brooding over the death of his fellow officers. Lieutenant Myers, whose home was in Netawaka, Kansas, has a stepmother in Rosedale, Kansas. He leaves a widow.
