The wife of David Harrington Bagley. 67, who had published poetry in publications such as Redbook magazine, died of pulmonary fibrosis September 15, 1991 at her home in Vienna, Virginia. She was working on novels and short stories at the time of her death.
Mrs. Bagley, who came here in 1956, was born in San Francisco. She was a cum laude graduate of Dominican College in San Rafael, California.
Survivors include her husband, retired Navy Adm David H. Bagley, whom she married in 1946 and who lives in Vienna; three sons, David II, of San Diego, Peter H., of Weston, Massachusetts., and Christopher H., of Los Angeles; two daughters, Marie Louise Luddy of Fairfax, California, and Laura H. Ridderhof of Smyrna, Delaware; a sister, Alicia Ensey of Coronado, Calififornia; a brother, Charles A. Hartwell Jr. of San Rafael; and seven grandchildren.
Buried in Section 8 of Arlington National Cemetery.
Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army. So it was no wonder that sooner or later his interests drew him to American history and especially to American military history. Many of his articles can be found on renowned portals like the New York Times, Washingtonpost or Wikipedia.
