SCHWETJE, LT. COL. F. KENNETH, USAF (Ret.)
Lieutenant Colonel F. Kenneth Schwetje, United States Air Force (retired) passed away on June 24, 2003 at age 56.
Colonel Schwetje was raised in Little Falls, New Jersey, and graduated from Seton Hall University and Rutgers Law School. He had been residing in Alexandria, Virginia, for the past several years.
Colonel Schwetje had a distinguished military career specializing in air and space law.
Upon retirement, he went into private practice and joined the law firm of Pierson and Burnett.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Florence Walker Schwetje and grandson, Aaron Wesche. He is survived by his wife, Jayne Schwetje; father, Fred J. Schwetje; daughters, Heather Bell, Beth Dingus, Kathryn Franklin and Jessica Wesche; brother, Robert G. Schwetje and eight grandchildren, Justin and Jeremy Bell, Ashley, Adam and Aiden Dingus and Brenden, Kaylee and Christopher Franklin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 8:45 a.m. on Monday, August 11, 2003 at Fort Myer Chapel. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, MAA-Memorial Contribution Processing Center, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216 in memory of Ken Schwetje.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army. So it was no wonder that sooner or later his interests drew him to American history and especially to American military history. Many of his articles can be found on renowned portals like the New York Times, Washingtonpost or Wikipedia.
