Stuart Millikin Bevans was born on 15 February 1898 in Illinois. He was appointed to the United States Military Academy from Illinois and graduated in the class of 1918. He died in the Philippines on 22 January 1938 and was subsequently buried with full military honors in Arlington National Cemetery.
Although he shares a middle name with James Millikin Bevans, Major General, United States Air Force, and is buried very near the General in Section 6 of Arlington National Cemetery, we have been unable to establish a relationship. The Air Force General was from California and was a non-graduating member of the 1919 class at the United States Military Academy. He may also possibly be the son of James Lung Millikin, Colonel, United States Army, who is also buried close by in Section 6 of Arlington National Cemetrey. Also see Floyd Kramer, Colonel, United States Army.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army.
