LIEUTENANT COLONEL L. C. GRIEVES
IONIA, Michigan, August 5, 1951 – Lieutenant Colonel Lorin C. Grieves, a veteran of three wars, died today in Ionia Hospital. He was 74.
A retired Army officer since the close of World War II, he served in the Philippines Islands, the Mexican Border War, and both World Wars. He served as a member of the Fifth Army Area courts martial board during World War II.
Colonel Grieved as a West Point classmate of General of the Army Douglas MacArthur.
NOTE: Colonel Grieves was the son-in-law of Colonel William Paulding.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army.
