Commander Frank P. Pagano Jr., U.S. Navy (retired), 66, Sarasota, formerly of Longboat Key, Florida, and Hampton, Virginia., died March 7, 2008, and will be buried with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery on June 11, 2008, at 10:45 a.m.
Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Carol; his son, Frank III of Hayes, Virginia; daughter Kathy and son-in-law Chad Balch of San Francisco, California; daughter Tara and son-in-law Kevin Carroll of Lithia, Florida; brother Filippo of New Bern, North Carolina; and four grandchildren, Sean, Elana, Laela and Connor, the pride of his life.
Frank lived his life with integrity, strength and honor. He was a great inspiration to his children and grandchildren, and will continue to live in the hearts of all who loved him.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army. So it was no wonder that sooner or later his interests drew him to American history and especially to American military history.
