Charles Waite Orville Bunker (1882-1958)
Born on February 23, 1882 in Viroqua, Iowa.
M.D. from Cornell in 1905. Commissioned in the Medical Corps in 1907. Staff Officer for the United States High Commissioner to Turkey 1923-1925. Graduated from the Naval War College in 1936. Commanding Officer of Naval Medical School 1941-1942 and the National Naval Medical Center at Bethesda February 1942-October 1944. Rear Admiral in June 1942. Retired in October 1944.
