George L. Bomberger served as a Contract Surgeon (Pennsylvania) during the Civil War. He was marred to Susan Elizabeth Whiting Bomberger, daughter of Daniel Powers Whiting, Colonel, United States Army. Dr. Bomberger died on 2 March 1921 and was buried in the Whiting gravesite in Section 1 of Arlington National Cemetery. Susan died on 6 January 1930 and was laid to rest in the same plot.
