Max Rosenberg (age 77) A retired Federal Judge with the National Labor Relations Board, passed away December 13, 2000 in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Judge Rosenberg served during World War II in the United States Army Air Corps in Europe and North Africa.
After the war, he returned to New York City where he completed his bachelor’s degree at the City College of New York, where he was awarded Phi Beta Kappa honors, and in 1949 earned a Law Degree from Columbia University. Max was an attorney for the
National Labor Relations Board before being appointed as an N.L.R.B. Administrative Law Judge by the Kennedy Administration.
During his career he demonstrated the unique ability to resolve disputes by settling many of the cased assigned to him. Judge Rosenberg retired in 1980, and in his retirement worked as an arbitrator/mediator resolving labor and commercial disputes. Survivors include his daughter Amy Greene of Palo Alto, California and his sons Ronald Rosenberg of Williamsburg, Virginia, Evan Rosenberg of Mt. Airy, Maryland and Jon Rosenberg of Oakland, California.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2001 at Arlington National Cemetery. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the World War Two Veterans Memorial Fund at www.wwiimemorial.com or 800-639-4WW2.
Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army. So it was no wonder that sooner or later his interests drew him to American history and especially to American military history.
