Born on September 5, 1892, he was a career Army officer who commanded the 38th Infantry Regiment during the Normandy Invasion on June 6, 1944 during World War II.
He died on October 1, 1966 and was buried in Section 2 of Arlington National Cemetery.
Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army.
