March and April 1929, revolution in Mexico threatened American lives along the border and Brigadier General Frank S. Cocheu set up headquarters at Fort Huachuca, Arizona, to patrol the border, using 18 airplanes in addition to his troops.
General Cocheu died in 1959 and was buried in Section 3 of Arlington National Cemetery. His wife, Kathleen Lacey Cocheu (1871-1940) is buried with him.
