He enlisted in the Marines last June and was sent to Korea in February. Corporal Ridenour had graduated from
Bullis Preparatory School, Silver Springs, Maryland.  Also surviving him is a younger brother, Charles.

Corporal Ridenour was a member of Company F, 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division.

He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in Korea on May 13, 1952.

Corporal Ridenour was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
