Is the son of David Johnston Craigie, Brigadier General, United States Army, who is buried in the same plot.

Buried in Section 1 (Grave 307) of Arlington National Cemetery.  Buried with him is his wife, Irene Hall Craigie.

WASHINGTON, October 12, 1944 – Lieutenant Colonel Wallace M. Craigie, who retired in June after twenty-three years service as Professor of Military Science and Tactics for the Washington High School Cadet Corps, died today in Walter Reed Hospital as the result of a stroke suffered a month ago.  His age was 71.

Colonel Craigie was born at Fort McDowell, San Francisco, the son of a Cavalry officer.  After attending Dickinson College at Carlisle, Pennsylvania, he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in 1899, and after four years service in the Philippines he was transferred to a Cavalry unit where a riding injury caused his retirement.

He leaves a widow, Mrs. Irene Hall Craigie.
