This young soldier drowned in the East Nodaway River near Hawleyville, Iowa, while serving with the United States 6th Infantry, on September 20, 1822.
He was originally buried in the West and was eventually reinterred in Section 3 of Arlington National Cemetery on May 4, 1904.
